  •  At the global scale, encompassing the entire world, geographers tend to see broad patterns.
  • At the national and international scales, geography is concerned with such questions as where the population is growing rapidly, where the followers of different religions live, and where corporations place factories. Geography also studies why these arrangements can cause problems.
  • Globalization means that the scale of the world is shrinking—not literally in size, of course, but in the ability of a person, object, or idea to interact with a person, object, or idea in another place.
These are some of the notes from today that Mr. Schick had me take. not to hard but the note taking needs to stop for a least a day or two.
                                                      Two Definitions of Globalization
  • 1.the process by which businesses or other organizations develop international influence or start operating on an international scale.
  • 2. the emergence since the 1980s of a single world market dominated by multinational companies, leading to a diminishing capacity for national governments to control their economies.
