"Taking notes." I'm beginning to think that those are Mr. Schick's two favorite words. why? Because as usual, we took notes.
Cultural regions:

• the origin of the word culture is the Latin cultus, which means "to care for"
• to care about: is to adore or worship something, as in the modern cult
• to take care of: to nurse or look after something as in the modern word cultivate.
• geographers study why the customary ideas, beliefs, and values of a person produce a distinctive culture in a particular place.
